HEN BOARDING

 After many requests by customers we are now offering a hen boarding service, and have invested in a fleet of Omlet Eglu's, Go's and Cubes, so the hens can stay in luxury and comfort. We can look after your hens whilst you are on holiday, spring cleaning their own housing or are unable to care for them due to illness etc.
We have a choice of housing depending on how many hens you have. We have Omlet Eglu's and Go's with run extensions that will house a maximum of 4 medium birds, and we have Omlet Cube's with run extensions that will house up to 10 hens. We have fitted the Cube's with external roosting bars in the run which our 'guests' love to have an afternoon nap on! All the Omlet housing is lined with a thick layer of Cozy Coop which is then composted down and used in the garden.
Your hens will benefit from: * A safe, trustworthy, experienced home where we can quickly spot and treat any problems should they arise. * Spotlessly clean housing, scrubbed before every visit and sprayed with Smite or Poultry Shield.
* A large run with a sun/rain shade moved onto fresh ground every other day. * Garvo Complete Layers pellets included, or if your hens have a special diet please bring it along and we will stick with your routine. * We will collect and keep any eggs laid by your hens for you in a cool place. * Droppings removed from the housing every other day (or as necessary), and fresh bedding laid. * All hens will be thoroughly checked over with you on arrival, and if they have any lice will be dusted with Barrier Louse Powder.
* Fully insulated housing so the hens will not become too hot or cold. * Hens will be locked inside the Omlet house overnight for safety. * Very fox resistant, large safe run. * All our Omlet Eglu's have a 1m run extension fitted, giving a total run length of 3 metre's. * Our Omlet Cube's have an additional 1m run extension fitted to the standard run and external 'day perches'.
RATES
Per coop not per bird.
Eglu & run - Houses up to 4 birds - £5 per night
Cube & run - Houses up to 10 birds - £10 per night. Please note there is a minimum charge of £15 for an Eglu & £20 for a Cube.
For an additional charge of £2 per bird, we can worm your hens with Flubenvet during their stay. This covers a 7 day course of Flubenvet, if they are staying for a shorter time we will return the hens with enough pre-medicated feed to complete the treatment.

BOOK ONLINE USING THE CALENDAR BELOW You can book online using the form below - the booking tool is in it's setting up stage so apologies for the terms 'room' booking and 'per person' - obviously they should read 'Eglu/Cube' booking and per 'hen'! Please feel free to email or telephone your booking if you prefer.
If booking online, you will be asked for payment in full, but please be aware that you are welcome to just select 'pay deposit' and pay the remainder on collection of your hens. Please note that no bookings will be held until a deposit has been paid either via the online booking system, or over the telephone via credit card.
Please contact us 24 hours prior to drop off to arrange a time to bring your hens. Although we are usually closed Monday - Wednesday we will be available on those days for hen boarding collection and drop off, but please call to arrange a time beforehand.
