ABOUT US

Barred Plymouth Rock Cockerel

I have had hens since I was a child, and have now been breeding pure breed chickens for over 11 years, mostly concentrating on Orpingtons (but often being side tracked by other breeds).  Whilst I still consider the breeding a hobby, I now have more birds than I need so sell any spare pure breed hens and hatching eggs when available.

Due to demand I now also sell a variety of hybrid laying hens, and try to have a good selection of healthy point of lay pullets available year round. My hens welfare is my priority and you won't find my hens kept in small, muddy cages.

All our hens are kept in either large purpose built houses or the larger groups of hybrids are in specially converted stables and barns with deep straw beds.  They are kept in a clean, healthy environment with plenty of space.

For the majority of the year all our breeding chickens have free range access to over 20 acres.  They are fed on the highest quality Garvo feed to give us the strongest, healthiest chicks.

During the breeding season the breeding groups are separated into different areas but always have access to large outdoor runs.
